Video, took the Monte out for a couple pulls
 

Nice weather so grabbed one of my friends and took off with the Monte to get in a pull or two. Kind of fun to get her out and lay into her again... Love the smell of burning tires in the morning. :drivin: I felt the car pulled pretty well, was happy with it's overall performance. John "Turbo Monte" your going to have to get on it to pull by me son!! :)

Nice burnout. What gear ratio do you have, stock diff or??

I have the stock gear ratio for the L36. As you would know, all supporting mods to the tranny are in place to include HD GTP axle.

That thing is a true Beast Greg! Awesome!

Apprecaite that Devin, she's not as beautiful as your Black Licorice by a long shot, but it does get the power to the ground. This was my last run on these tires, so I thought I would burn them up before the new ones go on. Picked up some Hankook Ventus Drag radials to be mounted on separate rims so I can hook up at the strip. And then with the race 104 tune it should be something to try to keep straight. These are BFG Sport Comp2's your seeing burning up.

Ahh I changed my gears from 2.9 some to 3.29 it made a bigg difference in quickness and didn't cut to much off top end which don't matter to me cuz where would I be doing 150+ at lol.

Greg, straight out awesome!!!! I can't wait to see her in person and make some pulls!! It sounds amazing, pulls incredible, spools a lot quicker then I thought for that big of a turbo too! Plain out awesome Monte!!!

I would love to see a 30mph to 100mph pull or a 50mph to 120mph pull on video!!

You will have to race him turbo v turbo lol. If there's anyone in michigan that wants to race I would love to even if ya got over 600horse it's just fun lol

Greg and I have been messaging back and forth about getting his car out here for gm nationals this year so by the sounds of things come the end of June Greg and i will be lining up both beasts and making some pulls all videoed of course!!

Greg, you truly represent the "Monte Carlo Dream". I could watch this video, as well as your other Test Run's, for hours on Repeat. You're my hero, ZIPPY! It's a dream of mine to someday eventually meet you and see (and hear) that gorgeous Monte in action! :thumbsup: I still hope you will guide me in my post-High School turbo build! :)Who knows, maybe someday it will be worthy enough to travel down the 1/4 mile along-side of you!;)

Wish you guys were closer to michigan idk about zippy monte but I would love to run against you turbo monte. Think my lil supercharged set up would surprise they he'll out of ya lol

Lol, I run anyone and anything, its all in fun. Only thing I will say is I think your under estimating turbo Monte... turbo Monte should be making near the same amount of power as Greg's Monte. Yes my signature says 384whp but that was on a very old setup and I hit the ceiling of the maf around 4000rpms and at that point was flooding in fuel.... I have 384whp listed because as of now that's all I can back up but I assure you in the spring I will be making way more HP than that. I'm estimating 550-600whp in the spring. I will be on the Dyno in the spring to know for sure what she is making and once I do that I will update my sig with the new HP numbers.

Id run you john just to watch turbo monte take off ;) haha

A quick story that makes me chuckle every time I think of it.... a local car club I belong to had a new member join and come to a meet. We were all bsing and turbo Monte got brought up. The new guy goes wait you own that? So I said yea and he goes "dude this spring I seen you going down the highway and I tried freight training past you and once I got right beside you I heard you get on it and next thing I know I'm not passing you anymore your pulling away and spinning tire all at the same time! I just gave up at that point I knew I didn't have a chance"

Hearing things like that from people I don't even know is plain out awesome! Lol
