Hey folks, I'm glad I found this group. I have a 2003 JG Edition Monte and I just turned over 14000 miles on her. My Dad was was major Jeffy fan where I was in the Earnhardt camp. When Dad passed he left me this one he had stored and I am doing with it what Dad wouldn't and this is drive it. I always teased him I was going to trade it for a Dale Sr edition and he said he'd haunt me. I love the Dale car but of all the NASCAR edition Montes I always the ghost flame was the coolest of them all.

I did get my Dale vehicle though with #73 of 933 2006 Intimidator SS truck (she's my baby)

 

and yes, I had a broken seal on the parking light assembly (been fixed lol)

Welcome to MCF! I always loved those ghost flames, too. Whether you were a Gordon fan or not, that was one good-looking car. I am native of Illinois myself. Nowhere near Quad Cities, though. A couple of miles south of Midway airport.

 

I was just out there a few weeks ago.. Im just a few minutes south of Joliet..

 

I've shown her a couple times around the Quad cities but I mainly show my hot rod and my Earnhardt truck. I love my truck!!

as you can see I still have the original tires with this, I'd love to find a set to keep as backups but have not been able to as of yet.
