I love the idea of vinyl, but I worry about the paint after.

Hi Onion. Hope everything works out, but just thought I'd share this website that offers high quality automotive spray paint in a can in case you decide to try again. Nothing compares to a professional spray booth job, but for the do it yourselfer, this stuffs pretty good. I've used it for bumper touch ups and mirrors. The basecoat colors are an excellent match. They also offer plastic adhesion promoter and clearcoats, including a 2K Urethane type.

Very nice. Mine is white with the black trim already. It's nice to break up the one color. My car is exposed to the harsh midwest winters, so I'm planning on getting a new paint job later this year. Same color and everything, just needs fresh paint. Man do I wish I could do it myself.
