Not often do you see a pacecar that actually was used as a pacecar! According to the placard at the auction, this indeed was! Cool car! 3800 engine is supercharged.

 

The pace car has a Corsa Exhaust system and it has red calipers.They told me that the engine has been modified but that's all they knew.

We just love monte carlo's as I've owned a Gordon car,Earnhardt jr.,Owned a few others too.

Thanks for your post & offer. I'd love to have it, but it's to nice to be driven + I don't have a garage to keep something that nice protected...

Ok,you know these cars really belong in a museum.I did a handful of car shows and only twice the car won a trophy.One time a parade monte carlo won a trophy and this one not.I don't think everyone like nascar or monte carlo's for that matter so they pass on it.Most of these car shows are put on by car clubs that really know little.I'de like to bring this to a real show someday and be judged by a professional car judge and not by friends who award there friends trophys.

 

Sadly, not everyone is familiar with the Chevy Monte Carlo's or the variety of unique models that were created from a stock Monte.

Yes, Car Shows by Clubs have their favorites. You need to take your to the Monte Carlo Nationals & have it judged at events like that.

Yours is a Look @ `me type of Monte that will get attention...Some will love it for that & some conservative will not...

It's like some people like Blondes and other only Red Heads (lol)...

The most important thing is that you love your Monte Carlo Pace Car & know it's a Winner to `you! I'd be happy to own a special Monte Carlo like yours.

Yea,I got lucky.It started out that I got a contact to email from nascars president's office.They gave me the name of the guy in charge of the media.He said he could make me up dvd's of a few races the car was actually in since I owned the pace car.Than I asked him if he knew of anyone who could get me the records of the car and he said yes he did.I contacted her and she contacted chevy headquarters and they sent the cars log to her and she than sent it to me.She also gave me the name of the pace car driver that day back on November 6th,2005 and that was Brett Bodine.Mr. bodine said he would sign the car.These people went out of there way for me and I cannot thank them enough.
