I was driving home from picking my dad up at the airport just talking and minding my own business when I hear a LOUD chainsaw noise coming from the side of me. Who was it but a guy in a Civic dropping it into what i can assume was 3rd gear or something and looking at me like "Wanna go". My dad says the words "Wow that guy should just put a shotgun to his head cause thats what he is doing by wanting to race". I agreed with him and look over to see the guy peel out at 50 mph and speed off almost hit like 3 cars and gets off at the next exit lol. I so wanted to get off at the exit and race him but in the end my dad was right. PS- I think I would have waxed him anyways lol.

 

My dad has the 07 ss "bone stock" and I raced him in my 93 z28 6 speed with a hypertech chip and 160 thermostat that was on it when i got it and my car just destroyed his ss. I also raced another 06 5.3 ss on interstate and It was closer because it was from about 70. Once i got around 125 is when i really pulled away on up to 150 then i let off. I drove my dads and it has good power and lots of torque steer but its just not as much of a "brute" as my 93z28. Beautiful cars though. His car is in my pics.

 

We have a lot of stop lights here that are 2 lanes and shortly after the light it merges into one so I pull up always expecting someone to want to race to be in front when it gets to 1 lane. Shortly after getting my CAI and downpipe I blew the doors off a newer Subaru WRX turbo with a fart can and he had a head start. He looked pissed when I blew by him. It seemed like more people wanted to race me at stoplights when I had my 99 bonnie then now with the monte.

 

of course more people would want to in the bonnie, lol its slower no one wants to get smoked so they dont try to race a monte

 

But to most people's surprise the Bonnie pulled pretty good, lol. It smoked a few people, even being a NA 3.8L

 

So...you're saying that you beat a car with almost twice the horsepower at nearly the same weight.

You obviously don't know his car.

He has a supercharged Monte, with a 2.8 pulley (stock is 3.8) it's also intercooled with tons of other modifications done to it. He is easily in the high 300s with his set-up.

Good kill OP, but try that with an LS1 with some cash into it and it would be a different story.

 

oh wow so you call me BS? here we go another 3.4 LS monte owner that need to get his head out of his @ss. this z28 that i beat is probably stock and just about anybody with L67 that is with less mods than mine can probably run with most V8. i'm going to post your statement on clubgp, since most of the club members there are modded L67. after i get all their opinions i will post it here. no offend buddy just because the only cars you can killed are the 4 bangers it's not neccessary that you call me a bullsh*tter. i dyno at 305 at the wheel BEFORE i went INTERCOOL. with the intercooler it's suppose to give you 30 plus more HP depending on your setup. to give you little idea what i have in my monte:

I thought he was referring to labnjabs post about beating a WRX. But now that I'm rereading the thread he could be talking about Jeffs93z28 post. I'm not sure who he was calling BS about. I doubt it was you silverbullitt, you could obviously blow the doors of a stock LS1 with your mods.
