I read online and see so many different 0 to 60 times and so many different 1/4 mile times for the SAME cars.

I have the 2006 SS (stock). Will I win a race against a Charger R/T? Has anyone raced one?

 

ive heard several stories of people beating them. those things have 350 hp, but they weight over 2 tons (like 4200 lbs or something). The SRT 8 isn't much better becasue it weights more as well. you shoudl take him.

 

Gearing Gearing Gearing...The Charger has 5 gears with a 3.17 final drive ratio and I'm not sure what the '06 MC SS has for a final drive, but the MC has 4 gears so it will be taller...more speed between shifts....I think the MC would win.

 

im going to put it like this: 47 hp will not make up for the huge gearing and weight disadvantage it might be close but in the end your monte will rise

there's a pretty tight limit on characters in the profile. the picture took up alot of it, and then wehn I added the little "Have you Beaten a Ford Lately" thing, it took even more. I had to take it out to put that in. I'm about to change my signature back to the car... I'll see what I can do

Sorry to tell ya a hemi charger srt-8 will win because I have seen it first hand, My buddy has a srt-8 jeep his time is 13.33 in quarter mile the srt-8 was 13.5 in the quarter mile, The RT Charger I don't know what would happen, But the srt-8's we can't win the hit 13's all night long. I love our cars and wish they could beat anything but 425 hp to 303 hp is a huge difference.

 

i thought your cars could run a mid 13?

 

I have an 07 SS. A 5.7 Charger in a quarter mile is a half car faster. The SRT8 Charger 3 cars I no first hand. When I was in Alabama I was a racing fool that weekend. Also did Dale Jarrett racing adventure at Talladega Speedway. You want the sensation of speed try that at 185 mph for 20 laps. The down side is every 20 laps is $1250. But I got to do it twice can't wait to go again.

 

Jay Leno's07 SStuned to 400HP runs a 12.9, I doubt a stock is running a mid 13.
