Unless you plan on going turbo, I wouldn't get my hopes up on making an LS a heck of a lot faster. With the exhaust, intake, and maybe the FFP pulley you will get a better response but its no 3800 engine not by a long shot.I would suggest putting that money on apperances and let a cruiser car be a cruiser car.

well, luckly for me... eventually hopefully I would turbo it... its my sweet 16 car (when I'm 20) and plan on keeping it for a long time! but, I was going to do this for the exhaust:

ubend delete
resinator delete
dual flowmaster 40's

hopefully it will add me a little HP with some decent sound!

Hi-flo cat made a big difference with my 3400. Cold air intake helps considerably too, but like Kingreyna said, there's not much you can really do to a 3400 (that's simple) to make them go noticably faster unless you start taking major components apart.

I'm building a new top-end for my 3400 this winter in the hopes of bolting on a supercharger in the spring. It'll definitely be an evil 3400 when I'm done, but not everyone has the ability to take to that level. Getting the intake ported and polished, a new throttle body, forged pistons, new heads, and some cam work, but you're talking lots of time and work.

I've actually heard that the forged pistons don't have to be installed if you can keep your KR down and your temps down with a supercharger intercooler, so 03lssleeper, maybe you can skip that portion and save 1100 bucks.

Vita, what kind of scanner do you use in your car? I think that'd be cool to hear them!
I actually have a Uniden Bearcat (model bc248clt) in it. Its not suppose to go into a car, and in south dakota they are illegal to have one in the car with you... it fits nicely infront of my shifter and lower dash, so every time I get pulled over, she gets unplugged and slid under the seat (and cord is then pulled behind the dash...) they searched my car once an found it, but they had no cord so it was considered unusable .

it works good for local city cops, but Hypo and things around us are coding their messages so I cant pick them up. (also who searched my car... haha)

Something to consider...I'll talk to my engine tech...
