Rockn Intimidator SS takes a GTP
We made an un-planned road trip to Rochester MN Friday, and it was a beautiful day. LONG trip, but safe. When we got almost to the Mississippi, traveling at 79 mph, wecame up on a GTP with 3 young guys, doing 70 in the left lane. They finally pulled over, and I put it back on cruise and continued on. The somehow noticed thru all the salt on my car, that it was an Intiidator SS, and decided to play. He punched it, blasted by me, pulled in front of me, and promptly slowed back down to 70. A couple of minutes later, the traffic cleared, I punched it, went right lane, and expected something from this GTP. Well he punched it as I did, but I BLASTEDaround him, cleared him by 5 car lengths, and pulled back in front of him at about 115 mph. We both slowed back down to 80, but he decided to play no more games, and he exited shortly after that game. Game over. RocknSS 1, GTP 0. Brief but hard spanking from 70 to 115.

Happy to read that there were no flashing lights in your post story,
Some under-estimate the power of a SuperCharged Monte Carlo SS..(Many have made that mistake: )

indeed it is a bad ss story great job....i recently ran into a gtp and went heads up with him on a red light of course smoked him at the take off got about 2 car lenghts on him hitting about 40mph he started closing on me he got it down to half a car lenght we were traveling at about 110mph so it was easy over 1/4 mile strech and i was like wow that had never happened before to me at least im running a Monty N/A K&N kit TB spacer full custom exahust with ubent delete of course andmsd wires.

GTP was of an unknown year, but badged GTP. Hot shot youngsters. Hoping to take it to Martin (US 131 Dragway) this summer, along with the Solstice GXP. Looking to put the Solstice into the 12s, and 13s for the Intimidator? Solstice has the Intimidator by over 1,000 lbs, and 30 WHP.

my buddy has a 1999 gtp with upgraded pcm cams header exhaust smaller pulley and ran a 13.29 at the track he might be interested in an intimidator
