Raced a Z34
I was going home last night and pulled up behind this Z34 with some pretty loud exhaust, and he took off quick so I gave it some gas and caught up to them, I swung around them and stayed about even with them gave it some gas so they could hear the exhaust and jumped the car a little bit. We then got to a stop sign and had to wait on a couple cars to go first, he was inching up, then all clear. Iwent about 3/4 pedal, just to see if he was really going to go, he went and I put it to the floor. I took off so quick from it wasn't even funny. Whenhe pulled up next to me at thenext stop sign, he was likenice, that thing is fast, I said thanks and went on my way.

I have raced 2 before, one on the highway from about 75-80 and one from a stop. The one on the highway we were messing around with each other and then went and I out ran him until about 110 and then shut it down, had him by car and half-2 cars. Then from the stop. He got next to me and reved it up so I reved it back, light turned green we went. I got off the line quicker(timed light better) had about a half car lead and at the end of 2nd I was getting away from him, not fast but still getting away from him, so pretty close race.
I think I'm going to go with 3800ss04 on that one. I have an 04 SC and I raced a couple of 3.9 montes and impalas and I ate them. Don't get me wrong they started out kind of fast but I pulled away from them. And that was from a light. Honestly if both cars take off at the same time I don't think the 3.9 would get it. The SC has 280lbs of torque and the 3.9 has 240 lbs of torque.
I don't care what anyone says if u have dam near the same car but one has 40lbs more of torque on it then that car is gonna win. Its the same thing for the (00-05) regular SS and the SC SS. The SC has more power and torque which means it is higher performing than the regular SS. Its a higher performance car.. That extra torque has to account for something. I know the 3.9s are newer but that SC is a pretty quick car especially with a few mods then it would really win. But a lot if times it's all about how that person takes off

yea I mean it all depends on who ever the driver is and what you have done to your car. my brother has a 02 Trans AM Ram Airwith SLP exhaustand he saida red Dale Earnhardt Monte pulled up next to him and he said he was suprised that the car actually kept up with him the way it did.
P.S.I did get smoked by a couple of V8 Camaros. (the only2 cars i lost to that i've raced)
