Default my first kill!!!!!!! =D

so i finally got to go to the closets 1/4 track around here and i got to make 3 passes i lost all of them except the last one which was against a 92 or 93 mustang gt. i couldnt get a good look. but i made a 15.9 second pass. i cant remember the speed but i think it was low 90's. the mustang did a 16 something. i cant really remember alot of details bc it was my first time down an actual quarter mile by myself and my adrenaline was going crazy. thank god for street tires and rwd. lol. street tires+rwd+v8+no burnout=spinning. im still smiling from it =D

its crazy how different it is when you are actually in the drivers seat. you gotta make split second decisions. I LOVED IT LOL. ive rode in much faster cars down the 1/4 (like my uncle's '70 judge) but it is so much more......i cant even think of the word lol. its WAYYYYY more fun to drive than to ride (found the proper way to say it)

awesome the fastest ive ever been was 130 in my moms old "beater car" as she called it. it was a '95 integra gsr. and believe me 130 in a 4 door car is kinda scary. the fastest ive been in my monte was 105 and i backed out of the throttle lol.

(i wasnt driving the integra btw....i dont know how to drive stick) well i know how to shift. but i cant get the standing starts right without spinning the tires or stalling out lol

Nice run, and launching a manual is easy. Rev up, ease out on the clutch.

Very impressive! You did a great job with your Monte. Usually stock LQ1's struggle to get into the 15's, so running a 15.9 is very well done. It must of been fun to win against a Rustang What did that guy say afterwards?

Also, do you have your time slips? I'd like to see the info on your runs. You can learn a lot from them.

I must caution you...be careful...be very, very careful. Once you get a taste of that adrenaline rush it can become quite addictive. Before you know it you'll be stripping everything non-essential off your car, trying to figure out how to cut time off your launch, figure out the best shift points, etc. Your nostrils will become impregnated with the combined smell of nitro and burnt rubber. The paycheck will be spent on performance upgrades and gate fees. The mortgage will fall behind and the kids will be fighting over crumbs at the dinner table.

Good kill!
