I just got my monte and i have a cousin who has a stock charger with a 8 but its not a rt. Ive ran one in my 03 cobra and destroyed it. No i know my pullied-tune bolt on 450rwhp/500rwtq cobra isnt anywayto judge how i will do with this monte. O btw my cousin has 24's on his charger. i think it should be close. I did get beat by a new 3v gt though.

it's a toss up, but the charger is already a heavy car plus with the 24s on i think you can take him.

 

Excuse my ignorance, but when did Dodge put a non-HEMI V8 into the new Chargers?

That being said, the car is a heavy boat, add 24s and you may be able to take him. Go to the track and find out. Safety first.

I didnt say it wasnt a hemi. Its not an R/T charger. I guess we'll see soon enough ill try to get a vid. Im planning on pulling him out the hole with a little brake boostin and trying to keep a car on him or so. That reminds me will a tuner let you up the rpm when your brake boosting to launch? Ive seen him launch it and its a dog with those wheels. Oh and a 3v gt, is a newer model gt with a 3 valve 4.6 sorry. Idk what mods it had if any, it was on older guy with a ford racing hat lol. But if i would have been in the cobra he probably wouldnt have ran me ha. Thanks for the info guys, this cars been great im glad i have chevy again. My g/f got me modding her gt then that turned into getting the cobra. The gt went low 13's with cams and the cobra goes high 11's with upper/lower pulley. Those are the only two fords ive driven, at least there respectable i guess.[sm=smiley20.gif]

 

ya those 03 cobras are sick. How much insurance are you paying on that? My buddy just bought one with 900 whp, for the money you cant get a better performer. Is the charger a V6? Either way you should take him if he is riding 24's

 

I think around two something. Its in my g/f name so its not too bad. Yea for the money/hp ratio a 03-04 cobra is the way to go. 900hp must be a turbod or twinscrew with a good mount to juice...

did you say not a hemi but still a V8? if its a V6 which is what I thought when i first read that (please be more clear on the engine , then it will be a win for the MC
