Destroyed by a Red SRT full of window stickers..
I got the jump on him from a dig at a traffic light, as my 2006 5.3L V8 Monte SS has a strong launch, but that SRT quickly caught up and blew around me like I was parked, a easy 15 - 20 car length beating.
That SRT was all over the road from massive torque steer.... I finally found out what it is like to be destroyed by my very own car. It was a one sided rout and a huge mismatch....
the SRT made 636hp/596tq at the wheels........

Damn that sucks....I saw a bunch of them down at the track and they are powerfull up top......You just got to race them from a dig up to 60 after that then they begin to pull hard thats for sure......and I know for a fact if you asked him how much he spent on his car...and then you spend that much on your car you would have him eatin ****....Hopefully...Sorry to hear that the monte lossed though, I bet if you raced a stock one, you would beat it so....
I spent I think around 10k on the red SRT's buildup, as it is also mine....
the rate it pulled away from me was simply mind boggling....
I finally got the chance to witness it from the 'losing' end.....

Yeah, got to hand it to them. I raced a bone stock one from light to light. at the drop, I launched to an almost instant 1 car length lead (torque, baby, torque), but then...I heard the turbo spool and release when he hit second gear and there was nothing I could do. (sniff, sniff)
I can't imagine what it would have been like to be alongside something like that with all those mods!!
