Default Bracket raced again

Did the Monthly show for www.azsra.com and I did the car show and then after judging was over went and did tech inspection and then got in line in my class to race.

First race I got a by pass because we had uneven cars and I didn't get a practice run in to see what I wanted to dial my time in at.

My second race I beat a neon

third race I can't tell what the car was but he was dialed in good that night so we race heads up and my dial in time was 16.2

I ran a 16.3 and his dial in time was .12 of a difference and mine was .14 of a difference so my good well deserving competitior got the win.

can't get closer than that .02 of a difference

Its great to bracket race because its not about the fastest car but the smarter driver.

I have came along ways since my first days at drag racing

my reaction times were like .3 and I am good on my starts

The 16 times are due to racing in 100 plus degree weather

alot of fun won $50 for second again

winner takes all next month for $250 I am going to get to the track early and practice and hopefully get the win.

good luck mavrick, 16's are decent but like you said, it is not against the car but the smarter driver, i don't know alot but i know bracket racing is pretty cool, my buddy had a 74 nova and it did a 12.41 quarter mile and i bought it from him and it was never the same car once i had it, you have to know alot about timing and tires etc, and you have to be able to dump money into it!! great post, goodluck next time!!!

Thanks ssgirl

lol about pouring money in, yea not gonna do that too much to my engine, I have learned a tune will be nice and then a v8 swap when my car really needs it, Thats the cool thing about bracket racing, I don't have to worry about making my car faster by putting more money into it when I Can just learn my car even better, I know how she handles in the cool weather and now I have learned how the high heat affects my car, Thats the cool thing since I have made it to the finals twice I know I keep gettin a little better, thanks for the good luck next month I do need it and hope for the win
