believe it of not folks, the monte won. he pulled me off the start, but i caught up real quick and took him about about 60 and keep going until i hit 107. my car is almost stock, glass pack with 2.5 inch pipes. the mustang had (i think) a fake blowoff cuz i know it wasnt turbocharged, therfor it couldnt be real. And flowmasters and i dont know what else. im really proud!

 

Is your car 3.9 or 3.5. My LTZ has beaten many Mustang Gt's with no problem

 

congrats on ur win! i cant wait to turbo my car, most likely what im doin with my tax return...i prolly wont race much b/c i think there has to b a reason behind the race cause quite frankly he can b faster than me idc i love my car now, but just in case i want that turbo

 

Hey by itself that 3.8 in not that slow. My old96 Firebird and my buddies old 96 Camaro we would run aginist a friend of his with a 95 Mustang Gt, 5speed just for funand the only thing that Mustang could do is get about2.5-3 cars on us and then just stay there. I raced a cont. GT in my Firebird that spun off the line and I was at there door.

 

95 had the 5.0... you may noth ave such luck with the 4.6

 

The 4.6 is a dog motorpre 99and 5.0 is a dog motor. Both are 215hp and 225hp. Mustang's that are pre 99 are nothing

 

you like to rip on the oldercars with v8's.why dont you get a monte from that same era and watch thatmonte get its *** kicked!

 

Hey personaly I like Mustangs, my g/f's mom has a 96 and it's nice. I use to owna 90 Mustang GT for a couple months until someone hit me and totaled it, andyes they sound good, but not as fast as they should be. I'm not ripping on them I just stating a fact that nowadays a V6 runs with the older V8's. Personaly I'm a Chevy guy but I like Mustangs. Me and my dad own a 66 and 67 Mustangs.

 

the days we live in now are all about power and good gas mileage. the modern muscle car is far more advanced than the cars from the early 90s and it showes. but the point i was making was the 94 mustang was quick in its day, compare it to a camaro (wich had a bigger engine) it would be a good race. it is kinda hard to compare it to a car today to a car of the 90s

 

i was just amazed that a 3.5L could keep up and actually start pulling away for a bit.
