i got a ford lightning and a camaro all in one night. im going tommorow night as well.

 

What times did they run???

 

Was it close? Was it a supercharged lightning or older version?

 

is your SS supercharged or just naturally aspirated?

 

i have a sc mc. the lightning ran 15.0 it was a newer model. camaro on the other hand ran 14.6's lets say i had a hole shot. my light was .017 his was .155 im so looking forward to tommorow though.

 

Stock Lightnings with the 112 blower can do 13.5s with a good launch... I'd say that Lightning driver doesn't know how to drive, or isn't blown. It's not the light that counts, it's the ET, unless you are dialing in and doing brackets.

 

Was that Camaro an LT1 or LS1, cause the LS1 runs in the mid 13's and the LT1 runs low 14's. Yeah that is real slow for the lighting I agree with lav74 either can'tdrive or it's a fake. My old 97 Sierra when I was done with it ran low 14's and I could only beat a lighting if they got off the line bad.

 

the camaro i dont know what model looked pretty basic. the dude that drove the lightining it was his first time out at the track.there was a white chevy solverado with two bottles of n2 running low 13's. im hoping for 14.5's, if i get some drag radials it would stop the spining the tires of the line and truly get a idea of what #'s it can do

 

Yea the slowest lightning i went up against ran 14.8 and had something like a 2.5 60 ft because of the tire spin.. but otherwise all they really need are sticky rubber and they fly.. makes more sense now.

 

well the headers knocked off 2 tenths. but while i was in the staging lanes my knee hit the keys and turned the car off. no problem right, wrong it is when your uploading to your pcm, so the custom pcm i bought is trash. since i have vista its a hit and miss if i can upload thhe factory pcm, which is turning my check engine light on every time i start it. the code is 170, fuel trim lean. but hey i knocked 2 tenths off.
