Default back glass for 06 monte carlo needed

title says it all! It seems when i bought my car back in April 09, it had the rear window tinted and was removed by the dealer who must have screwed up the defrost grid! I have seen many different fixes for it, but I think the bast way will be to just replace the whole back glass? I'm not sure what years will work, maybe someone hare can let me know. I talked to a guy and he said don't buy new ($330) buy it from a junkyard and he could install it for $60. I thought I'd just throw this out and see if anyone, hopefuly close could keep their eyes opened if they find one, thanks for reading!!!!

Tim, thanks for the e-bay link, I'm really not sure what years will work on my car? also, I've seen a bunch of different fixes but I'm not sure how well they would work? I'd rather get another back glass than throw money at something that my not work!!!

Just checked that site (morad) and they do have one for my 06 monte for $125 pick-up only!!!

nevermind the above statement, it is for the front not the back so now I guess I'm wondering if the one you sent Tim will work, although it is for 04-05?

so hopefully somebody can let me know what years will work for my 06!!!

I can understand that, I've never done it myself. at my shop we have a former chrysler mech- a-neck who repaired them at the dealership. I have a couple dead spots on mine which I'm just going to patch..from what I understand it's simply running a couple pin strips and paint liquid metal across the break, If you have more than one break tho you may be better going you're route. Check with chibbi on the years he may know

i think its the same, not 100 percent sure, but the cars are virtually the same except for interior and front bumper, theres some small things like tail lights but it looks like the exact same shape, if you want i cant measure my back window and we can compare measurements

ughh you live in pitt, just drive the 4 hours to cle.

if its on a weekend and we make plans ill get a truck to carry it to wherever you need to install it. ask morad if he'll put it on for you. he takes then off all day. you probly have to buy the gasket and "glue". i use that term loosely.

thats all morad has??? i could have sworn that he had a black 06 ss with everything about a month ago.

anyways i know for a fact that if you email him he can tell you if it fits.

my radio has never came in clear and a small but noticable amount of the defrost stuff is coming off mine. anyways ive thought about replaceing the rear glass.

ummm make sure the price that you got was for the glass and defrost/antenna, and not just the glass for the brand new one.
