The suspension has been changed (I assume because its supposed to have the FE4) and the bolts for the struts are already rusted that bad?

Sry, I know this is your for sale thread.
No problem. Glad you agree. This is why you cannot just pull an ad from somewhere and say, see? I can buy this one cheaper. And as I noted, not everyone reports to Carfax. I almost bought a Jeff Gordon car until I did some research. Owned by the "little old lady" in Florida. Turns out she wrecked it trying to get out of her garage. Had all kinds of damage her daughter did not own up to until I ran a Carfax then she suddenly remembered paint chips on the garage door. Even needed a radiator. Some guy here bought it for $4800 and is trying to get $11K for it, because it only has 75K miles. If you don't do your homework you can get burned very fast. I also wonder if Maniac thinks that gray thing will EVER shine like this one. : )

For reference: My muffler tips. Correct.

My original engine cover looks better than that one. It is also coffin gray. Someone may love it, but I hate the color. And you should realize that Carfax is not perfect. They only report what is reported to them. Usually accurate about registrations, but that is about it. My car was totally painted, and I have all the pics to prove it, but there is not a word about it on Carfax. I know many dealers that take cars to places that do NOT report to Carfax for that very reason. I will drive the car and get my money out of it before I drop the price. It is perfect and needs nothing. Anything else you buy out there is a crapshoot. ;

Now let's get down to mileage. I have copied the Carfax report. Everything appears normal on 5/15/2012. Mileage shows 60,178. Low mileage car, less than 10K a year. On 5/17/2013 the car is sold again with 65,543, and is flagged by Indiana for not being accurate. No specific reason given. Registration renewed on 6/04/2015. On 10/16/2015 the car is noted as having 102,150. Someone did a lot of driving in two years. There is also not one record of any kind for almost 40K miles. On 9/24/2018, the mileage is 143,548. Car was sold on 2/02/2019 to the guy I ended up buying the car from. He drove it up to 161,237 and sold it to me on 10/10/2020. So the car jumps 37K miles in two years. Possible I guess, but to go that long without one record seems strange. And I have no idea why it was flagged for being inaccurate in 2013. Nothing seems out of the norm. This was a low mileage car and I would assume someone was keeping it that way, until it jumped a lot of miles. As far as my claims, I am not misleading anyone. I posted the odometer in my ad. I just mentioned that it doesn't feel like a car with that many miles. Now you have the Carfax to look at and can make up your own mind. In this day and age, fraud is huge. Even ISS asked for no documentation of my mileage, just asked what I wanted to be put on the odometer. I have seen cars advertised with 95K miles that had over 200K. They go to boneyards and pull speedometers out with lower mileage.

Anyway, make of it what you will. In the south cars are very popular, and right now they are very expensive here, due to the chip shortage. Stuff is bringing incredible prices, due to a lack of cars. I just bought a 2006 LTZ with 190K miles for $3900. I have already spent around $4,000 and still haven't addressed the cosmetics. If you think $10K is a lot of money you need a better job....lol. It is nothing. Labor rates at most places here are $130 an hour or more. Electronic parts are a fortune. I paid almost $400 for a factory throttle body.

My original engine cover at 161K miles.
Lmao! Good luck with sale sir.

You are spot on, CarFax is a tool and only tells things reported to it. My mom is driving a 2005 LeSabre bought with like 75K miles on it, yet the title claims 170k. The story I was given when I looked at it was it was the girl's father's car. Before he passed, he gave it to her brother. The brother moved to Hawaii and is leaving the sister to sell it. I even inquired myself and to correct the mileage on the title requires an affidavit from a dead man or a LOT more work that is simply not worth it. I looked the car over and was willing to believe the story (with rust we get here, underside to very clean to believe the story). As far as I am concerned, by the time mom is done with the car, it won't matter what the mileage on the title says (it is either going to be a beater with a heater or a junk yard car at that point).

Now, looking at the carfax you shared, I am really curious about the flag carfax put on the title transfer. Seems almost like a silly note. But I see where it clearly went from an owner or owners that did not drive it to some people who REALLY drive it.

Now what I got a laugh at, that car originated by me!!! I live in Mentor-on-the-Lake, OH (I share the same zip code with Mentor, OH). I know the locations mentioned on the carfax in Mentor and Madison (Madison is 20 miles east of me).

Lol, no, not destiny, just comical. I have two Montes already, I do not need a third. Plus, I have an '84 Z28 Camaro I want to restore.

OK, even though that car was a POS, I reduced the price. Cash or check?

With all due respect, I wasn't trying to be unkind; I'm a realist. That was just my opinion.

I do not need nor want another Monte at this time sir. I have a 1 of 1 SLP variant that I still play with, not to mention I just got my 2022 ZL1 not to long ago and still have two 2 motorcycles on my hands. This is enough for me.

Again, good luck with sale.
