REDUCED to $7000. My 2006 is almost finished and going to concentrate on it.
Now that I have an 06 LTZ I am going to turn my 05 loose. Also moved to the country, so no car shows around here. It is easier to tell you what the car needs than list all that has been done to it but basically it has been restored back to new. The only (and I do mean only) thing wrong with this car is the driver's seat heating element and chances are it is just a broken wire. Engine and tranny are original and work perfect. The car supposedly has 165K miles on it but I really do not believe it. It is tight, and not a rattle or squeak anywhere. No water leaks, no air noise. Cruise at 80 all day long. Every little thing that goes wrong on these cars has been fixed. You will see the VIN on the Window Sticker, and if you are serious I suggest you run a CARFAX and you can see all that has been done to it. Most everything has been replaced. This car still has the cargo net in back, and the factory 200w amp. Sounds great actually. I have several spares that go with this car, like the rare 2001 ashtray, and two pristine steering wheels (mine is also very good). Paid $6,000 for paint and polish, so don't be telling me the car is expensive. If you haven't priced quality paint work lately you are in for a shock. This was cheap. Every inch of the car was sanded and filled to be perfectly smooth. Two new Evans-Fisher fenders were also added. A front license plate delete plate was found and also added. The 2005 SS is a rare car, and many things about it are only native to it, like the rear view mirror, DSM switch, brakes, rotors, etc. Has FE4 Police Suspension and 17" wheels (like an 04). The list of new items is long and expensive, and if you buy one of these on the cheap, you too will eventually end up spending as much as I did or more. Fly in and drive it home. It will go anywhere. This car came with the also rare black and chrome rims like a DE car, etc. I have a set but they are not perfect. You will get those also. Went to a car show and hardly any looks. They all want FWD stuff. So I am caving in and building something different. My loss, your gain. (should be $12K). Funds must be wired once you intend to buy. I am south of Nashville, TN. Thanks for looking. Once again, $7000. Steal it. Nice sunroof that works fine. No leaks. Headliner is perfect too. LED high beam, low beam, fog lights and back up lights.
New Toyo Tires, new Detroit Axle slotted and drilled rotors, ceramic pads, Delco calipers and wheel bearings. Motor has not been out, but has been resealed top and bottom. Has original mats under the rubber mats. No rips or tears in either seat. Rare MC door sill cover. New ISS dash. Cruising at 80 all day long. Car is so perfect it passed emissions. Resonator has been deleted. Check out the price. My 06 LTZ was $5K cheaper.

If I had 10k to spend on a car, I would buy it in an instant. Ive followed everything youve done with it. Hope it goes to a good home, someone that will treat it good.

I appreciate that, and glad you know the car is in great condition. Someone will be very happy to have a car that is not breaking down every month.
Beautiful exterior!
why do you say the car, "supposedly" has 165k? Are u unsure?
Just curious.
Glws sir.
For one, it doesn't act like a car with that many miles. Two, on the Carfax there is a gap of about 25K miles that are not accounted for. I just have a gut feeling it has less miles, but can't prove it, so post what is on the title when I bought it. I sent the dash off to ISS, and could have put what I felt was more accurate but did not. Car does not use oil, tranny shifts great, runs super and is tight and quiet. I wish I could prove or find out. I called the last place it was serviced, some oil change place, but they could not help me. Anyway, it speaks for itself. And these days that is not a lot of miles. I am seeing them on Facebook with 230K or more. I justify the price by looking at the market. I am seeing some absolute junk out there, old Firebirds, Camaros, etc. for a lot more that need tons of work. So not only is this a really rare car (as most any 04-05 is), but it is loaded with options and to me the color is just perfect. You rarely see blue ones. I should have bought the black and silver aftermarket wheels, since this car came with them, which is even more rare. I have a set but they are not really great. Curb rash on one, and typical blems. You know how much work it takes to keep and fix these cars. You buy one for $3K and then start dropping a lot of money, and trying to find parts. But they, that was part of the fun of building it. The VIN is on the window sticker pic. Run a Carfax and you will see what I mean if you want. There is an O5 Black SS Supercharged on FB with 99K miles. It really looks no better than mine inside. (oh yeah, another reason I think the miles are off, my inside is perfect with no rips or tears in the seats, unusual for a 165K car.). Anyway, he is firm on $5500, but the car is wrecked, and needs a RF fender, hood and front bumper. He will never match that black, but says he can get it fixed for $1500. Dream on, unless you own a paint shop. Now he is just now coming up on the mileage where things start to go wrong. Upper and lower intakes, steering pump, rack, wheel bearings, etc. You know the drill. I just bought this 06 LTZ with 190K on it, and it runs great. I stuck a tranny in because I hate that GM shudder. Also sealed the oil pan and did front and main seals (which I had to do on the 05 also, along with VC gaskets). Sorry to get so wordy, but I got on a roll....lol. If you can't run a CARFAX, maybe I can print mine off and copy it. Later.

I am curious about the 25K gap you mentioned with the CarFax. Is that just a point in time that nothing was recorded for 25K (like no oil changes or emissions checks)? If so, that really isn't anything too serious. But *IF* there is an event where the odometer appeared to roll back 25K, then that gets serious.
As for the condition, you and I both know it is up to the owner. No doubt a majority of owners beat on these things and don't maintain them or lucky if they clean them. I am a second owner on my black Monte Carlo. It is a true 200k+ miles car. The interior is mint, no rips in the leather seats, I admit, I put a good chunk of TLC into it this spring (new lower mounts, oil pan, pan gasket, upper/lower intake gaskets and such). But this car drives fantastic. You would be hard pressed to put a big age difference on my black 2000 Monte with 200k+ miles over my 2004 Blue Monte with 90k+ miles (the BIGGEST thing I think to give it away is when you are right on top of the black monte, the hood and front bumper have seen better days, but from a few feet away still look awesome).
Personally, unless you have some harder documented evidence, I would not try to claim the mileage is lower than the odometer (as some people may now have the concerns of odometer fraud).
Not to ish over ur thread but price needs to come down....There's a clean 55k 2005 for sale at 11k. I'd reconsider your firm number if you want this to move....just my take.

There are always deals somewhere else. I would be concerned that that car only has 55K and the beauty cover for the motor already has the color missing. Headlights are not very clean.
My original engine cover looks better than that one. It is also coffin gray. Someone may love it, but I hate the color. And you should realize that Carfax is not perfect. They only report what is reported to them. Usually accurate about registrations, but that is about it. My car was totally painted, and I have all the pics to prove it, but there is not a word about it on Carfax. I know many dealers that take cars to places that do NOT report to Carfax for that very reason. I will drive the car and get my money out of it before I drop the price. It is perfect and needs nothing. Anything else you buy out there is a crapshoot. ;
Now let's get down to mileage. I have copied the Carfax report. Everything appears normal on 5/15/2012. Mileage shows 60,178. Low mileage car, less than 10K a year. On 5/17/2013 the car is sold again with 65,543, and is flagged by Indiana for not being accurate. No specific reason given. Registration renewed on 6/04/2015. On 10/16/2015 the car is noted as having 102,150. Someone did a lot of driving in two years. There is also not one record of any kind for almost 40K miles. On 9/24/2018, the mileage is 143,548. Car was sold on 2/02/2019 to the guy I ended up buying the car from. He drove it up to 161,237 and sold it to me on 10/10/2020. So the car jumps 37K miles in two years. Possible I guess, but to go that long without one record seems strange. And I have no idea why it was flagged for being inaccurate in 2013. Nothing seems out of the norm. This was a low mileage car and I would assume someone was keeping it that way, until it jumped a lot of miles. As far as my claims, I am not misleading anyone. I posted the odometer in my ad. I just mentioned that it doesn't feel like a car with that many miles. Now you have the Carfax to look at and can make up your own mind. In this day and age, fraud is huge. Even ISS asked for no documentation of my mileage, just asked what I wanted to be put on the odometer. I have seen cars advertised with 95K miles that had over 200K. They go to boneyards and pull speedometers out with lower mileage.
Anyway, make of it what you will. In the south cars are very popular, and right now they are very expensive here, due to the chip shortage. Stuff is bringing incredible prices, due to a lack of cars. I just bought a 2006 LTZ with 190K miles for $3900. I have already spent around $4,000 and still haven't addressed the cosmetics. If you think $10K is a lot of money you need a better job....lol. It is nothing. Labor rates at most places here are $130 an hour or more. Electronic parts are a fortune. I paid almost $400 for a factory throttle body.
My original engine cover at 161K miles.

I did not CLAIM it had lower miles. I said it felt like it had lower miles. The odometer was posted in my ad. There is a 37K mileage gap in my Carfax where nothing was recorded. It seems strange, but possible. I am 71 years old. Driven a lot of cars. I can usually tell if a car has a great deal of miles on it or not. The motor in this car is fantastic, and starts when you breathe on the key. Holds very good oil pressure, even at idle. Tranny shifts great. So either I got very lucky, someone put a motor in it, or it really doesn't have all those miles. Just my gut feeling. Take it or leave it.
Something doesnt sit right with me about that grey car. Muffler tips are pushed in further than they should be, its sitting higher than it should be, and that gauge cluster looks much newer than the rest of the car aside from that dirty smudge on the left. The suspension has been changed (I assume because its supposed to have the FE4) and the bolts for the struts are already rusted that bad?
