Default 2003 Monte SS

2003 Monte Carlo SS for sale runs and drives pretty good but needs motor work! Cooling system is clogged with rust or mud, and my mechanic says it's too much work to fix. This is a pretty well optioned car, leather interior and all power options. The engine runs well but needs an intake gasket. Plus you have to flush out the cooling system. 150,000 miles. I have the maintenance records for the 8 years we've owned it.
Price reduced Asking $1,500

Probably just clogged with the red dex cool I'd assume. Easy to flush. Good luck on your sale.

Not sure about that. I went over my records and found the cooling system was flushed a couple times. When we first got it the small bypass tube broke so when we fixed that we flushed the system. I'm thinking it has something to do with the intake gasket. Oh well, thanks for looking

I just bought a new radiator, it’s easier and cheaper than flushing out the radiator. Then you only need to flush the motor. You take the thermostat out put the thermostat housing back on and run your water hose in where the radiator hose goes on top of the motor, let the water flow until it’s clean,
