I would not bother with 50%, that's just a waste of money.

I have called the Illinois State Police Office and ALREADY checked (since I live in Chicago, IL) that in Illinois, the tint law is 35% on all windows (outside of chicago). Now, since "Chicago" has their own law (which I don't see how the city OVERRIDES the COOK COUNTY), you can NOT have the front windows tinted at all in the city. SUCKS BIG TIME!!!!! If you are caught within the city limits with the front windows tinted, $250 fine will come out of your pocket. If you do NOT travel within the city, you are free of any tickets (thats if you stay above 35% of the tints within your vehicles). The state trooper told me that he is just as confused as the ones who question about the tint law in "Chicago". Since crime is up in chicago, the police require rear side and back window at ANY PERCENTAGE. Crazy I tell Yah! So, I was thinking to have the front windows tinted above 50% (just to block out the sun UV rays and the rest as DARK as I can get it...lol!
