Lol, could be a nasty looking Monte should you be able to give her that type of appearance. Keep at it, be pretty BA...

I think it could look pretty good if you make it fit with the body lines of the car. I would make the whole thing look wider not just the lip of the fender.

Exactly what I want! Haha I am only in high school and make 8/hr so there is no way in hell I can afford a vette, but to make my monte similar, I would be equally happy any ideas where to start?

I see how the Monte Carlo will look very nice if it came close to looking like this. But if you really like that look, you could probably save very well, work extra hard at more then one job, after you graduate. You will probably find one at a cheap price you can nab.

Yeah I know but I'm talking about now. I want to be one in a million with this car. I want to turn heads and have people stare! Haha

Nice widebodies follow the lines of the car if there are any available to use. In the case of the Monte Carlo you would want to bring out the area under the body line. After all, our body lines are merely a suggestion of what the older Montes like the 2nd generation had.

As for the staggered fitment, a wider rear tire is used to create more understeer to counteract excessive oversteer. As our front tires give out first in a turn anyway, putting a wider tire on the rear would cause even more understeer.

Front wheel drive wide body just doesn't make much sense to me? I think it would be weird to someone that knows it's FWD?

That's why you don't tell anybody it's fwd ;D but if I put my "master" fab work into the scene in sure it would look good. Some body pulled a lovely hit and run on my car in the parking lot of Walmart and one of my fenders are widened out now so I guess I just have to run into it with another car and hope for the same result right? Haha but since I'm going to get new fenders within the next couple of months I might as well play with what I have now. See what it looks like before I permanently modify it

Tons and tons of work man this is by no means an easy job if you want it to look good, hopefully some of your buddies are going to school for art lol, I have a s10 buddy forming custom wide body fenders we've been forming and molding these for months and months do a bit go back to it later do a bit go back later repeat, we went the route of rolling the fenders out with tons of heat and serious pressure, he is also adding custom air ports, then some serious putty and sand work and then repaint,
Voila u have beautiful fenders, if you're serious about being unique go for it and experience the thrill of doing custom work on your own car, I plan to throw airports in my fenders when I do a repaint in a cpl years that I know a lot of people won't like but I don't care
