Hey. Omega9. I just got a reply on the Vinyl stripes on Mustangs. From the president of this area's biggest Mustang club. He said that he'd check with his sponsoring Dealer and try and find out some of my questions. I know this is a slow process. But good things take time. I'm also thinking of doing this too my Monte Carlo. After I get the Hood with the scoop on it. But instead of two skinny stripes down the hood & trunk lid. " I"M THINKING of one wide stripe down the center of the hood. ( skip the roof ) Then down the trunk lid. The Mustang has two stripes down the center. BUT! They have a small thin line between them. So it looks like on big stripe. But it isn't. My Monte being Victory Red. Then having a White stripe down the center. How ne freakin AWESOME to ME. Any Comments are welcome. Being an old Biker. I'm pretty much thick skinned. Let the fun begin. ha ha ha. P.S. I'm also contacting a friend of mine back in the Detroit Area. Who's a member of a Mustang club. About this same question. Rick

 

Ohh. One more thing about this Mustang club Outside Detroit. A custom accessory shop called this club on a fri night. And asked them if they could get a few members on a moments notice to a show on the next mornings show. Thats was a t 6 pm. At 8 am saturday morning 97 mustangs showed up. Dam don't you think that would be just out of this world to do that woth MONTE CARLO"S. OMG that would just make my Year!!!! Rick

 

Hi Me again. I just got an e mail from a friend of mine with an 08 Mustang. thats has vinyl stripes put on his. He told me they are holding up great. That if he chose to paint them on. The price would have been doubled.

 

I had black vinyl stripes on my 05 Mustang that was never garaged. I bought them online and had them installed at a local sign shop. They held up well but they did get scratches on them.

 

I guess anything we put on our Hoods is going to get a mark or scratch at some point. It's the price we pay.

 

I have had mine 5 years all good!
