Default Under Hood Addition

Wanted to add a little to under the hood. So I decided to tackle the supports - originally, they were starting to rust a bit, so I gave them a wire brush and just hit them with a flat black paint (just where the bolts went).

After looking at them some more, they looked like crap, so I decided to completely redo them. Only problem is they don't make a paint for my color, so I went with a sportier blue (the closest I would get to my actual color is the powder blue on the new Cruzes)....and, uh, no!

All in all, they turned out pretty good - a few areas I should have filled before painting, some rust bubbles near the edges, but nothing that'll really be seen, and most of it is on the bottom anyways.

If you feel like doing a lot of sanding you can polish them instead of painting them.

One day I'll get the engine mounts done. I'm not going to do the stabilizer - instead I want to find one off a 3800, I think Mitch found a way to get it to clear the alternator so I'll have to see what he did. Then I'll paint that one.
