And when i want to lput back the cylinder. How do i go about replacing the plate that has the rivit in it? Could i just use a larger self tap screw or a nut bolt? Seems to me popping that rivit will do nothing for me. Its just a plate. A bumper or buffer. The rivited plate has nothing to do with the cylinder. If i can reach the cylinder through that hole why not directlt from in side the panel itself.?

The plate has forks that go up & hold the cylinder in & just put a new rivit in when u wanna put it back in

Default thanks

yep thanks. Instead of drilling out the rivit i took a wedge fork and popped it out. The whole rivit. When i was done replacing the unit back together i just took a forming hammer and popped it back in. Tapped the metal back down. Looks like it was never removed. Thanks again.
