LOL that was a big risk using that tape as it could have completely ruined your paint.

I did a test run on a small piece of the body before I put it all on, and I didn't press it down or pull it off to quickly. I was careful, all turned out well

I lived like 25 minutes from there.

Ha ha ha, that's why I up n left that place. Too much snow, too many months out of the year, for 18 years too many. Been enjoying nearly snowless Georgia weather for a year now. So much better than seeing lumps of snow on the ground well into late spring.

The darkness looks perfect. I don't think you'll have any problems either. I think the cops would give you more problems for tinting the headlights. Around here, as long as the tail lights are visible when lit up, and the reflectors still reflect enough light, the cops usually leave you alone.

Back when the GTS headlight covers were hugely popular, the cops here didn't bother people. As long as they could see the turn signals flashing and the headlights on at night.

But the current trend has people making their headlights as bright as they can. With HID's being the latest thing. Not too many people tint their headlights now. Making your mod kinda rare for a 6th gen Monte. I like how yours turned out.

Question:

How will the heat from the headlights affect the nite shades spray and the clear coat? Will it make the clear coat turn yellow, or become brittle and chip? Just wondering.

Good Question. But ive herd many people who clear their headlights even if their not tinted etc.. so it gives them a better protection, so it shouldn't be a problem.

But I have the ultimate answer to all those problems. This here is the best stuff you could ever buy. Im going to put it on the entire car. All plastics, paint, wheels etc.. Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0.. It is a permanent coating, like clear. You will never have to wax aging after applying this. But You need to make sure that the car is in mint condition because any flaws in paint will be in there forever if you apply this to them.. anyways ill do write up on this eventually. It is very expensive though. A 10cc bottle is $60 but you can do a car in less than 6cc. Its not recommended for a newbie. 1 mess-up will result in wet sand and buff to fix. Im going to add it to my detailing services for around $200 which is still a lower price than most.
