Default Spoiler switch?

I've got an '06 LT. I has the flat-style spoiler. I really like the raised=style spoiler much better. Is it possible to do a spoler switch? And has anyone here done one? THanks a bunch

It can be done, both MaMonte and I have done the switch successfully, though the surfboard spoiler is a LITTLE larger on the trunk-lid so there's a good chance that you will ruin the paint on the trunk and have to get it fixed, but it bolts right up.

Yep, like Chibi said, it can be done, but you MUST get the 06/07 Nascar Inspired spoiler inorder for it to bolt right up, and they are REALLY hard to come by. The 00-05 Nascar Spoiler does not just bolt right up.

Assuming you do find the right spoiler, then you should probably plan on repainting not only the spoiler, but the trunk lid too. When I removed the surfboard spoiler, it pulled up the paint on my trunk lid, and left scars when the surfboard sat. The new spoiler misses covering the old scares by about a half inch, so you CAN see it.

Sweet, thanks for the info guys. Any ideas on where to look online for the 06-07 Nascar spoiler? I found these online...

Would either of these be something that would work?

The first picture is the OEM Nascar inspired spoiler that came with that black Monte. That is the spoiler that you would need to get your hands on if you want one.

The second picture of the blue Monte is the older style pace car spoiler. You can find those all of the place, but that spoiler will not bolt right up.

Like I said before, its really hard to find the Nascar Spoiler from 06/07, my best recommendation is to regularly check ebay and craigslist for and 06/07 spoiler. Your search will take a while. i'm sure. But its worth it!

It took me over a year to find one (and it was already black, SCORE)
