you will not find the 2006-2007 style online anywhere, trust me! The only place online you MIGHT find one is a place selling used parts.

And if you have an 06 Monte, that means it came standard with the surfboard spoiler, which means NO it is NOT a good idea to use the 00-05 style nascar spoiler.

The ONLY time using an 00-05 style would be ok is if you have NO spoiler at all and wanted to add one. But if you have the surfboard, you MUST get the 06/07 nascar spoiler if you want a direct bolt on. Otherwise you will have to exposed holes in the trunk that need to be filled.

Oh and I should mention, if you plan on swapping out your surfboard spoiler for a nascar spoiler, you need to plan on painting your trunk lid to. I can almost assure you that you will peel up paint, and or have large, deep scratches from the surfboard spoiler, and they will not be fully covered by the nascar style of spoiler. So include repainting the trunk lid in your budget.
