Default SLP grille "black square"

When I got my SLP grille I was impatient and I just painted it and put it on. The included red Chevy logo seemed ill placed on my car since there is a large white chevy bowtie right above it on the hood. At first I painted the red logo black to mute it, but I thought it looked weird and removed it completely. This left a blank black square in the middle of the grill for no real reason, so that looked weird.

Finally clean it up. I removed the grill and painted underneath. Repainted the grill with a gloss black frame, satin black for the rest.

That black square was a place holder for this:

I opted for the black overlay because I didn't think it should really pop since it doesn't follow the overall theme of the car. Its just a quarter panel SS badge I bought used off another member for $6(thanks Polarbear7). The overlay cost more, which I had to pay US dollar & US shipping for, even though it came from a guy in Ontario.

The black on the logo is vinyl from Grafxwerks. The paint used for the grille was PlastiKote
