Default Should I paint my rims

Hello. I have an 03 monte carlo. It is blue. I want to paint my rims. They are what I considered brushed. They are the stock rims. I am concerned how they will look after I paint them considering they have that brushed look. Will the sanding process remove this? If I do need to remove these brush marks how should I go about doing this? What color should I paint them? I don't want black. Any other suggestions? Take a look at the photos. Sorry my rims are a little dirty in this picture.

I would say add some blue accents to the rims and then polish up the parts you leave silver. Then I would paint your calipers silver so they don't clash.

If your unsure, I would look into plastidip. If you don't know what it is just google it, can be taken off if you find you dont like it, but holds up pretty well.

I would add some accents to match your car, or another complimenting color if you don't want black.

By all accounts plastidip is not "easy" to remove, especially if you leave it on for awhile.

That and it makes stock wheels look like steelies.

But hey, just my opinion

I think plastidip is a great idea. Maybe do a dull blue to go with your blue. do something different, but don't do black because everyone in the honda industry does this.
Painting Car Accessories, Rims, and Stuff The problem with plastidip is that if some rock chips hit it, then it will start to come off. but everything can be fixed
