Just get whatever you feel is the strongest for outside body molding at your local store lol

Make sure you do it in direct sun on a nice hot day

I honestly don't see why it wouldn't fit a 7th Gen. I checked them near my Dad's car and it looked the same. But I haven't seen them on a 7th yet.

OK I'm sorry to bring back this old thread but...I recently got my roof rails and was taking the stockers out and was wandering what exactly i need to take out. I've read the how-to and practically every other thread there is about roof rails and realize that I need to remove the old adhesive that's in there. But when I took the old ones out, there was this white adhesive on top of the black foam adhesive. Do I need to remove all of it down to the painted metal or just the white and leave the black?

Remove all of it down to the painted metal ..then install 3m double sided tape to the rails and install rails in channel..

Take it all down to the metal. The roof rails have a large section that sits into that channel.
