Default Roof Moulding

Has anyone had a problem with the rubber roof moulding strip in the slot for a roof rack coming loose? Can that go back with a little adhesive or should it snap in place? It doesn't seem to want to sit in the groove. It almost seems a bit long as it bulges up in the middle. I don't want it to fly away on the freeway. Has anyone fixed that before? Tips would be appreciated.

Hey Butch049, the local O'Riellys was out of trim piece so I bought the two sided tape and repaired the trim piece I had. Thanks for the tip just the same.
