7th Gen ('06-'07): Rear Wheel Drive build thread, It is happening..
Looking good Sam. Been a while since I've been active on here but I wanted to check in and see how you are and how the build is going. If you're in town and are free, please consider joining us at Michigan Monte Carlo Club's 2023 Spring Meet on Saturday, May 20 at Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter. If you can bring Monte SSV, even better - I'd love to see that car someday. All info is here > https://montecarloforum.com/forum/me...ng-meet-63394/
Matt: Not sure you will read this - but your Fall Meet is at the metro park in Harrison Twp and I was going to make every effort to make that. I only live about 15 miles from there so it is any easy place for me. to get to.. Right now SSV is still in storage without a tranny. I had the trans rebuilt over the winter seeing that it gave out last September - easy to do with 800+ FWHP
Hopefully the custom 300 M parts I made this time along with some minor design changes will hold up better than the ones I had in it. I never know what parts are going to break - so those that do - I replace with one of a kind 300 M custom made parts. I do know that the parts I did make previously are still like new and undamaged. So as I go, I learn.
Looking forward to the Fall meet.

Gray Ghost --- you mentioned that earlier in this thread somewhere - so you know - my goal is too keep it under 4K, And a street/strip car with 1400 HP - does it really matter if it weighs 3900 or 4000# - I am not out to break any records or beat the clock - I just want to enjoy the car and have something that's one of kind and be proud of what I put together..
