I de-badged mine.... mainly so I can repaint it in the Spring but I'm starting to dig the look. I'm going to leave them off.

You think just taking off the whole Monte Carlo emblem along with the SS would look better?

Personally I think it does. Some people just take it off the trunk and leave the side ones on. I took all three off. I think it looks "cleaner."

Some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

There's a red SS logo, just like the one that came on your car, on ebay right now for $11. I think it looks better than those chrome ones. If you want it, here's a link to it.

I think I'm just going to take off the back badges. I really like how it looks.

mogwog: What kind of wing do you have on your Monte? It looks really good!

You think so? I don't care for it but I bought the car used so I didn't really have a choice. I've got a new trunk lid from an '05 coming in w/ the Nascar style spoiler - just have to wait until spring to get it painted then I can slap it on.

Anyhow, on topic, it's the wing spoiler for an Impala.

Oh, I see. The spoiler looks unique. The only thing i don't like about it is, how it shows the gross hump. I don't understand what made the designers of the sixth gen MC think that dumb hump looks good.

I agree. That's my main complaint about it. That and the fact the previous owner never got it painted to match the car... it's black and the car's blue... that matches well

But yeah, flat trunk and it wouldn't look bad at all.
