Is that how they're done? With a sticker? I always thought it was paint...

If these are good, then I might have to pick up a set. How much do you think it would cost to have a professional put them on? And what would go well with a black car?

It can either be done with the vinyl graphics or paint. Paint is obviously more expensive but looks much better.

You also have to worry about the type of vinyl used, how long it will look nice and when it starts to crack if it will come off easily without ruining your paint.

Definitely ask a professional for their input

^ Agreed. I personally wouldn't mind a set of flat black racing stripes, but it's on the bottom of the list.

stay away fom ebay from the rally stripes,, you take the ad or an example to your local sign & graphics shop that applys vinyl or full wraps. They deal in high quality material as well this will keep you near in case there is a problem...quality vinyl will not harm the paint and unlike older or earlyer types of lettering or graphic vinyl the paint will not show shadows if the vinyl is removed.. 85% of the vehicals my wifes shop address are with vinyl. don't attempt a large job like this on your own...leave it to the pro's

Please don't pout stripes on your roof. Some would call me a traditionalist for that thought, but I'd also like to say stripes on the roof look silly.

Agreed...stripes on the roof are are for ferds.....chevy hood and trunk lid only.....BTW on the black car red , white or silver. theres also the rick option of satin black which will look more stealth and cause heads to turn in wonderment....

X2 to all the advice you got from the guys above and keep in ming about the wax you use because wax can make it crack dry out and discolor you have to use a wax safe for vinyl . I got mine at the start of the year made out of vinyl and I should have painted them on from the start (paint is so much easer to take of) the big reason I got the vinyl was because they glow at night !i am now painting them on because the will be wider and give me more of the look I want .
last but not least please please do not stripe the trunk past the spoiler ( down by the bowtie ) keep it clean
