Default Quick update

As some of you may have seen, my Monte needed a bit of body work done a little while back. I've since gotten the car back and this is how she looked this weekend after I changed the transmission fluid and put the summer wheels/tires back on.

I still need to repaint the bowtie but other then that and after about $6,000 she's all back to normal.

Looking great!

With regards to the bowtie, I replaced my front with an SS emblem, but went here for an overlay on my back one, just pry off the gold piece and then replace with the vinyl overlay. I love the look of this, and at $21 and some shipping its a pretty good price, maybe an alternative to painting

/e oh and forgot, but if you want ill try to get a picture of my rear one for ya.

Thanks, I actually used the same technique to paint my front bowtie back in 2007. I've seen them painted with the paint on the outside and it just looks dull. By painting the backside you keep the deeper gloss look. I found the photo I took to see how it was holding up after the first year, now it's full of chips but at least it never chipped the paint.

I'll take my camera out sometime and get some nicer ones, these were all done with my phone because I never remember my camera anymore.

Thanks, I always figured it was a generic color, turns out nobody carries the matching touch-up paint. I had to order it from the factory which was a pain.
