Default Quick Tail Light Question.

Hi everyone, new to the forums.

I have a quick question regarding the tail lights on my 2003 Monte Carlo SS. I bought this Monte Carlo a little over a week ago and the passenger tail light has some small cracks that are letting moisture in so it fogs up inside the lens pretty bad. So, I'm looking for new tail lights.

But....

I have heard that 2006-2007 tail lights will fit on my 2003?

I didn't want to jump the gun, and pay $180+ for the 2006-2007 lights if they won't fit, so that's why I am here to ask you guys.

If you have done this, or know anybody that has, let me know.

Any help is greatly appreciated, and thanks ahead of time

im not sure of that i havent heard of it, but there are some nice looking aftermarket ones that in my opinion look better than both 6th and 7th gen stock, they are maybe around 100 bucks more but they are worth it, you will deff be the only one with them for miles

06-07 tail lights will fit, but not perfectly. You're better off going to the correct ones for 00-05.

Thanks for the replies guys, I appreciate it.

What do you mean they won't fit perfectly?

Theres small differences in the shape between the models, one is a little curvier than the other. They'd fit but they'd leave a small gap on the side i believe.

Oh that makes sense, but as long as all of the mounting points are the same and the shapes are still "roughly" the same I may try it. If it doesn't work out, I can still return them.

Thanks for the quick reply btw

No problem, like George said above, now might be a good time for some aftermarket lights if you see any you like.
