Put ralley stripes on roof?

I don't recall any Chevy having Rally stripes on the roof.
Doing so would be incredibly "goofy" IMO.
Same goes for rally stripes that continue all the way down the front or rear bumper...equally "goofy" IMO.
Rally stripes should be properly sized and placed only on the hood and trunk.

Whoa, haters! What's wrong with roof stripes? If you leave it a solid color then it just looks broken up and tacky. I wouldn't put stripes on an everyday Monte, but in general you can't just break up stripes like that. Yall are crazy.

I've heard that the original Chevy cars with stripes all had vinyl roofs, hence no stripes on the roof. I've also heard that they're not on the roof due to racing numbers being required on the roof and doors. I lean more towards the vinyl roof theory.
I have them on the hood, deck lid and spoiler. I quite like my setup. I was just looking for a photo but realized that I almost never get the top of my roof in a shot.
