I've got an all black 06 monte SS and am thinking of uprading the headlights to projectors and most of them come with H3 bulbs but the stock bulbs are H11. Does anyone know what the difference is, does it make a diffenece in the light put out? Also does anyone know of a good company that supplies projectors. Been looking and can't really find any available.

The H3 bulbs are more of a foglight bulb. They're much smaller than H11 bulbs. The light output will be lower, but with projectors it could balance out. If you put in an H3 HID kit with the projectors it would be great.

 

I just installed the projector headlights in my 06 ls. And even though I don't know exactly how the output is with the regular h3 bulbs, I can say that with the HID kit I can see EVERYTHING!! And I'm not even stretching the truth at all. I had HID's in the regular headlights (h11 bulbs), and the improvement of the visibility with the projector's is amazing. Definetly worth the buy.

ive never heard of anzo, mine are made by eagle eyes. i think there sweet, well the looks at least. light output is very clear and white, but they do shine as far on country roads{compared to stock}. im going h.i.d. soon. they guy who sold them to me said that i had to find a short hid bulb, because h3 supposibly, by the manufacturer will melt the housing. i dont see how, hopefully another member will chime in on the long term effects of h.i.d.'s.
