Default Projector Fabrication. Any info?

So I have HID lows in my 01. I saw a video on how to convert to projectors. I would really like to make my lights legal. Anybody tried this mod? I'm looking for any info on it. Whether this video seems right. Anything thats gonna be different. Is it worth the risk (my shiny headlights)?

Yeah if I had a pair sitting around I wouldn't hesitate to try it. I just don't want to start and have it not turn out well and be out a pair of headlights. The videos seem pretty thorough so that makes me want to do it more. The one thing im not sure about is if there is a big difference in the projectors themselves.

Give me a few weeks to try this. I had to send my new ones back in for replacement because of the crappy rubber on them, Ill use the old reflectors and do this to them, and put them in new housings if it works out ok.

a co-worker made his own for his grand-am. we just salvaged the projector glass from inside any headlight that was getting replaced in the shop , 2 sizes high and low beams. you should even add an Audi style LED light while your at it

problem with our headlights is that they do not come apart very easily at all. i've tried before to seperate the lens from the housing so i could paint inside black, but i couldn't see any way to do it without damaging the light.

You have to bake the headlight before opening it.

People have baked these, multiple times, and had no luck with our headlights.

Good luck to those who try, I've heard of many failures and no successes
