Default Plasti dip smoke

Has anyone ever used that plasti dip smoke for either their tail lights or head lights?

I used it for my reverse lights, It takes a lottttttt of coats to get it dark, i actually put one coat of regular black plasti dip in it too.

where do you guys even find the smoke one? every store I've been into says they don't carry it and Home Depot says I'd have to order in a case if I wanted to get my hands on it (minimum of 6 in a case) :/

most stores that I have seen normally carry "normal" colors. I would just order it right through plastidip, you can order as many as you want and any different color you want

I used VHF Night shades and it worked great. Had to put on about 4 coats. Did my tails, reverse covers and third brake light. I assume its almost the same finish.

I just used VHF Night Shades the other day, also coated my tails, and reverse... Forgot to do my 3rd(woops).

Works pretty well, and easy to apply.

I removed mine due to harrassment by the 5-0. Looks better removed imo. Nightshade is what I used though when I did have them tinted.

That was one reason I didnt want to use nightshade because if I want to take it off, I would have to sand it off and it would never come out perfect. The plasti dip I am not sure if I like it much because it looks like it gives a ruff surface when on the tail lights. I will probably keep it looking stock for now.
