It's easy to put on they sell a kit with a spry gun the whole kit is around $200 I've been doing research on it if you do the 5 coats like they say it peels off real easy I watched a video on how to take it off and the dude in the vid peeled off the door section in one peace I would only try it if it don't hurt the clear coat

it's very easy to take off if you put it on the right way.

it also shouldn't harm the paint in any way

I had it on my trim pieces on my car for about 8ish months. I took it off a couple weeks ago. The spots I used 4+ coats on came off easily but the others with less were more difficult but still not terrible. No damage to the paint whatsoever. Might be able to dig up some pics if you are interested.

most colors have to be bought online and i would recomend not doing a whole car with cans but rather a spray gun

Most annoying car trend ever. Having a rough looking paint job is pretty pointless to me.

I think it carried over from the truck forums. They've been coating their wheels, rockers, bumpers, etc for years with plasti-dip to help protect the finish. The only thing I can think of on my Monte I'd consider using plasti-dip on is the wheel wells...
