Default Are the hood interchangeable

Looking for a hood for my 04 monte carlo I have a 01 ss I about to buy will it fit on my 04?

The 6th Generation Monte Carlo is the 2000 thru 2005 year Monte. These parts should all interchange.
There is always the adjusting to get the proper fit that will need to be done.
You may also need to replace the hood supports on the side of the hood they are a pneumatic piston device. Salvage yards are the best place to find them around here, however sometimes Cragslist has something also. Or you can find one online that is aftermarket custom hood, that comes with a custom scoop built into the hood.

Well I was working on it and in the process the wife tagged it with the SUV and it fell over and kinda messed it up. So I have decided to just practice on it.
I will try and find another hood to complete the task. So maybe next year I can get it done.

Ok thanks. At one time I was going the same route using the z28 scoop as it bolts on and didn't wanna do the blending on an 05 hood but ended up buying a figerglass bond on and did the blending anyways...lol. Was curious how yours looked
