oxidizing aluminum rims HELP!!!!!!

Default oxidizing aluminum rims HELP!!!!!!

Okay so the aluminum rims on my recently bought monte carlo are oxidizing and im working on restoring my montes nicks and scratches before i tackle any bigger projects...

Soooo my question is how do i get rid of these ugly soars on my rims!!??

Have you tired using some Mag/ Aluminum polish? Maybe that in combination with some rubbing compound would do the trick.

you probably have to completely repaint it, its under the clear on the aluminum, mine are terrible, im going to sand down and redo mine in my own design

Yeah, you're stuck. Buying new wheels or having these refinished are your only options.

powdercoat them. chrome will look good but it may run you close to 300 .. very durrable though. im doing it with some of my rims

as i said in the othere ther thead you can strip the clearcoat and then you would have to paint them or polish them
