Opinions please.
Trust me, it would definitely be done with a vinyl. Since I wouldn't know if I really wanted to keep it that way. I'm really stoked, maybe that can be a spring time mod. lol
Doing it in a flat vinyl is a good idea. If you dont like it, then your only out of the price of the vinylin stead of having to repaint your hood again. That can get costly.
yeahh i think the flat vinyl would look really good and idk about you guys but i like never see montes with that on it so it would really make your car stand out even more.
I say go for it, I think it looks cool on some cars, me and my friend who also has a Monte Carlo were bored one day and made plans for my car, and one of them was to put some kind of black vinyl on the body that is black but darker than my paintjob, so I say go with the stripes!
Thanks again for all of your opinions. I'm pretty sure I'm going to try this, but it'll be a while.
So far this is what I've found, and it costs more than I'd like to spend...

THe only thing that makes me a little woried is that they are not saying what time of vinyl is used. IMO, the best out there is ORACAL. But thats just me.
Order them from autotrimdesign.net
Make sure you get 3m or oracal high grade vinyl, you don't want avery stripes because they are poor quality and game me so many problems, but my oracal stripes did just find through their first summer in arizona triple digits temps.
Also I like the flat black on black because that is what the knight rider new mustang has and it looks great and stealthy smooth.
If you decide to order them from auto trim make sure to do it over the phone and tell them you want the oracal high grade vinyl to make sure you get the right product.
Just trying to help, I have been through this rodeo before

Thanks Maverick, I appreciate it. How much did they run you to buy and get installed?
There is this one (Chevrolet Monte Carlo Rally Stripe Graphics Kit 1, Parts List, ATD-CHVMNTEGRPH10, “Race-Inspired” Spoiler - Hood w/o Flames Version):

And this one (Chevrolet Monte Carlo Rally Stripe Graphics Kit 2, “Race-Inspired” Spoiler Version - Parts List, ATD-CHVMNTEGRPH4, Hood w/o Flames Version):

Which one is it?? I'm pretty sure it's Kit 2, I like how the outer stripes are. Also, it appears to cost around $250.
