Wow, I have been looking for these lights for months now. A friend gave these to me as a gift about a year ago, right before I got my monte(my last car took the same lights but that car got taken to the grave yard). They are real HID'S and they're plug and play(other than a ground wire you need to make). Its strange, I have never seen anything like these before. They look the same as a regular bulb you would just plug in, but its not transparent, it looks like a blacklight when just lookin at them.Tell me what you think of em, I got the DRL's, High Beams, And regular nighttime running lights in the pics. Ill tell you, I have never seen so much road at night.

Well, they are D.O.T. approved so I dont think they can do anything about it? But then again, they can pull you over to see if you have proof?
Its really cool cause i have this tiny litlte LED light that i put up by that thing that senses light (to switch from drls to nighttime driving lights) so i can have juts the green ones on without having the brights on

*D.O.T. Approved when used in Projector housings

which means in your non-projectors they are still illegal.

yeah, ill will try to find where they came from, but liek i said ive had them here at teh house for over a year now and couldnt find them, so i have also been looking online to purchase another set(until last night). But i will do my damndest for you. What i can do for you now(well in a few hours) is take a pic of the bulbs and show you, see if youve ever seen them.

And i did not know they were still illegal, why is that??

Because HIDs are only allowed to be used in a projector headlight housing, where the HID beam is projected safely and with the right cut-off point.

Putting them in a standard housing, makes the beam bounce everywhere and blind people.
