i'm going to check with these guys again about making a cowl hood for the 00-05 monte. i can't believe they make hood for the grand prix and cavalier but not the 6th gen mc.

siverbullitt ur crazy haha

the pinstriping MADE my hood. looks sooo much better than just a solid painted hood. actually, made the entire car look great. just find a good guy and get it painted on, not the sticker decals. they flake and chip off

i dont like to put the bad mouth on anyone but ive had dealings with vfn before and they screwed me on my hood for my 80. though i have seen many a happy customer they stuck it to me deep and hard, and i would never think of buying anything from them again. there shipping sucks and i got nothing but broken hoods. until i was told that if i didnt want to take the hood the way it was the third time then they would take a 15% restocking fee or keep the hood and my money. ur in chicago so if you do get one from them make sure you pick it up from them. sorry for the rant still pissed about getting screwed out of like 700.00 bucks.

how dare you!

just playing, to each their own. the way you feel about pinstriping is the way i feel about wheels over 20" on any car. period. haha

It's a toss-up for me and pin-striping. Some cars can pull it off (Matt included) and some cars just shouldn't. I think it depends on the color of the car to start with. It's hard to see some lines on a black car, so it isn't bad to pop it tastefully.

To the OP, best of luck on this hood. And remember, it's not just a hole in the hood that makes it functional, it should have ducts that move the air and water around. I can't wait to see the finished product!

no prob silverbullitt. i wish that i lived out there cause i would have picked it up. the hoods looked nice except for the broken off corners, but they were totally a-holes for not refunding me.

The bottom of the new hood has about 6 cut outs that are about an 1/8" deep.... So I plan on putting chrome inserts into each one of them! Should reflect the engine real nice and tie into all the other chrome nicely!
