Default New Headlights from eBay. 2004 SS

Just finished replacing my cataract ridden, water contaminated headlights with replacements. Great deal, $117.00 a pair, delivered, tax included. Vendor is uzooka. Made it a favorite and they sent me an lower offer.

Sad all these modern (late 90's and newer) plastic headlights do this. But definitely nice to see non-cloudy headlights.

I'm just glad the W bodies have cheap aftermarket replacements at least. I had to replace them on my GP GXP about a year before it got totalled. Id been buffing the originals to keep them nice for years, but theyd picked up too many deep rock digs to keep them. Found a nice set on Amazon for about $100 that were as good as new.

The C6 on the other hand is a real mess. The only aftermarket options are expensive ugly re-styles (c7 and c8 knockoffs for nearly $1k per pair). They offer aftermarket lenses only, but they're about $400 a pair just for lenses + gaskets, plus the whole day job of swapping them out yourself. Unfortuantely the plastic is more prone to crazing for whatever reason, so it makes the originals almost impossible to save (you can polish the outside back to baby smooth, but the inside of the lense develops a bunch of tiny spider cracks).
