I like the look!!

The LEDS I used on my third brake light are also stupid bright. I definitely recommend them. I might have enough left over that you could use too for your light

Thanks guys. Yeah, in day light, the lights on the brake light are not all that visible. I completely understand with tinting the reflector limits the output.

If I cannot find brighter LEDs with red diffusers, I have a couple other throughts in mind (like incorporating the super bright red LEDs that have clear diffusers and alternating them with the red difused ones).

Thanks for the offer. Those LEDs are actually the same style that is inside the stock 6th gen 3rd brake light. For this specific application and what I'm hoping to achieve those won't cut it quit right
But thanks, it's always appreciated

UPDATED PICS!!!

So when I first put this modded light on, it seemed dim.... Turns out there was a bad diode on the back side of the board. My father figured it out, replaced it and MAN, that fits the bill now. Here's a couple updated night shots!!

It's actually not black. I used VHT to heavily tint the original chrome backing. I was trying to get an effect that emulated the stock tail light look. Granted, that's actually a neat concept to paint it to match the body of the car and then have the red LEDs peaking out....

If I decide to change, it comes apart super easy.
