I had the third tail light pulled because I'm going to be putting tint on the rear window in the next few days so I was cleaning the window and getting everything out of the way for the tint. I thought this would be a good time to do a little mod. Here's what I did for an LED brake light. The LED strips are ready for 12v. I wish they were a little longer so that they filled the lens better but I have to work with what I got. They turned out okay. Hopefully they are bright enough to show through the 5% tint! Will have pics of it installed after the tint goes on.

I had 5% on my side windows, but was pulled over for the 20% on the sides, oh well.
I'll go 35%, and 5% next time.

 

I could spray paint my rear three windows black for all Iowa cares. So long as I keep the fronts to 70% or better..which is basically no tint. I'm sure the 5% wont be fun at night, but I think it'll be worth it.
