Default lighting problems i need immediate help please

OK so I used my high beams while going up a mountain road. I let go of the arm and they stayed on. They still will not turn off. I have pushed, pulled and even twisted the arm. Nothing. Also I have another problem. The only light that actually looks like it has enough power to it is the driver side high beam. Every other light is extremely dim. I haven't checked the fuses yet because it is 3am here. But has this happened to anyone else? What could be drawing all the power from the headlights? Oh and. I have tried switching out the bulbs but every light bulb I try is very very dim. Thanks in advance

It sounds to me like your multi-function switch (turn indicator lever) is damaged. Replace it and all your lighting woes should disappear.

Even the dimming? That's weird. I'll give it a try though. Thanks a lot

Could be the relay too. But That's less likely. I always say Check the things that move first. I.E. the multi function switch. Fuses are good or bad. No in-between. So if your light come on, the fuses are good.

The multi-function lever controls turn indicators, high/low beam lights, flash to pass, wipers and windshield washer. You should be able to pull it towards you and release (flash to pass) or continue pulling towards you all the way and release which should activate the high beam lights. An audible 'click' should be heard. Then pulling towards you and releasing again should turn off the high beams.

OK I pulled the lever and it clicked. But the passenger headlight is extremely dim and then high beam bulbs are still lit up on both sides. However I noticed the wires that are on the low beam clip are frayed and destroyed. Any ideas on how to rewire that to get it to have full juice. Cutting them and reattaching the wires doesn't work

The wires may be frayed in more than just one place. Also check the harness plug at the light. It could be corroded or heat damaged. Any of these will cause low current, dim lights, and the system compensating by turning the highbeams on at all times.

ive checked the harness at the light i believe

the bottom ones i check and it was metal and shining so no signs of corrosion, the top plug on both sides wouldnt come out so i didnt even mess with it, im not sure if it was suspose to come out or not. the low beams seem dim and im wondering would that cause the highbeams to stay on even if the lowbeams are on but did....in other words if i change the low beam buk=lbs could this go away?
